Planning for retirement support
The change from a work situation to retirement is one of the biggest changes of our lives. At RSA we look to provide support for our employees when making this transition considering both lifestyle and financial implications of retirement.
We are pleased to be able to offer attendance at an open workshop, with one of two experienced external providers of pre-retirement support. Both provide workshops throughout the UK, offering the convenience of attending an event close to your own location. Professional facilitators lead each workshop and a range of informative literature is provided. Sample programmes for each can be downloaded using the links below. You should contact the providers direct to obtain details of their schedule of events and locations.
Laterlife Learning has many years' experience of Planning Retirement training. The facilitated workshop covers all the lifestyle aspects of retirement, including financial implications. This workshop will be of most benefit to those looking for support in making the transition in lifestyle with a general consideration of the financial implications.
Close Brothers has been providing financial education to employees for over 40 years. They provide retirement planning courses that cover a range of lifestyle issues and would be particularly beneficial to those who require a more in depth understanding of the financial implications on the run up to retirement, with the opportunity of speaking to a specialist financial planner.
Who should attend these courses?
All employees who are within 12 months of retirement will be eligible to attend a workshop. Those with a spouse or partner are encouraged to attend together. The cost of these workshops will be charged to your own cost centre and you should confirm your eligibility with your line manager prior to submitting your request.
What is the cost?
Current costs are as follows:
Laterlife: £215 + VAT (individual), £325 + VAT (couple)
Close Brothers: £100 + VAT per attendee
Travel and accommodation expenses should be approved by your line manager and recovered through the normal expenses system.
How do I book a place?
Should you wish to book a place on either of these workshops, email HR Services (HR Services/UK/RoyalSun) with your preferred workshop, date and location, together with your cost centre. Please copy in your line manager to the email.
