Message for pensioners regarding your 2016/17 P60

Clarification from WTW about your P60

You should by now have received your P60 for the 2016-17 tax year.  If you have not received your P60 yet, please contact us using the contact details below.

The P60 we issued is in a prescribed format set out by HMRC.

This means that your P60 shows the pension payments from either the Royal Insurance Group Pension Scheme (RIGPS) or Sal Pension Scheme made by Willis Towers Watson in the period 1 July 2016 to 31 March 2017 under the heading “This employment”.

Any RIGPS or Sal pension payments you received from JLT in April, May or June appear under the heading “Previous employment”.

Self-assessment forms

If you need to complete a HMRC self-assessment return, you will need to provide:

  • the amount you received from and the tax deducted by JLT for your RIGPS or Sal pension; and

  • the amount you received from and the tax deducted by Willis Towers Watson for your  RIGPS or Sal pension.
